Fatal Crash in Cole County
The crash happened Saturday on Highway 54 in Cole County.

A 37-year old Jefferson City man died Saturday evening on Highway 54 at Heritage Highway when his car crossed into the other lane and hit a tractor trailer driven by 67-year old Virgil Russom of Doolittle.
Richard Veltrop died in the crash and a passenger in his car, 33-year old Julie Trenary also of Jefferson City suffered serious injuries.
Russom was taken to St.Marys Hospitalwith moderate injuries.
